I don't think they are encouraging feathers though, they say 'most people believe they had scales, but some people say it could have had feathers'

Sounds more like they're ridiculing feathers to me, especially with that 'BIG BIRD' comment xD

(also Iben, I didn't want to be blamed for people going blind :3 )
Who are they to be ridiculing feathers? Considering the fact that most feathered Rex restorations look 50 times better than that unholy spawn they slapped together.

Sounds like a children's magazine to me, the fact that the magazine's cover mentions 'Crazy carnivores' and 'battling dinosaurs online' suggests this is just another magazine showing dinosaurs as monsters that are always fighting

because nothing 'badass' or 'awesome' ever had feathers, and they think feathers are 'stew-pid', therefore it didn't :3

That reminds me, something that really annoys me is when people think they can opinions of something that's been proven ._.

Agreed. People think they can use the "no one's ever seen a living dinosaur" excuse to make them look however they want. We've seen their fossils, and that's enough to get a pretty good idea of what they looked like when they were alive!

I'm not slow! That's just my moe!

unless you have legitimate reasons to dispute the preexisting evidence, it comes off as very annoying

like people claiming because we don't have tyrannosaurus feather fossils that it didn't have feathers
we barely have any tyrannosaurus rex fossils, and what little we do are poorly preserved

Yeah, people who think he/she is theories always right in every statement, and thinks that he/she can correct everyone to what he/she thinks.

I thought there were over 30 specimens, many of which are relatively well-preserved. However, we have few skin impressions from the genus, and that's what matters in this situation.

thats not what I had thought, I had thought most of them were only a few bones from each specimen

Most of them are just a few bones, but there are a few very well-preserved specimens (such as Sue, for instance).

I had thought Sue was still only 40-60 % complete, and largely reconstruction?

now I'm just letting my conspiracy theory side run wild xD

Another thing that really annoys me: 'Design your own Dinosaur' related things

We never see a 'Design your own Animal' or something (at least I haven't) and I've seen several saying to give it wings or fire breath. Dinosaurs are not synonymous with dragons and other fantasy animals. They were real animals, and it's about time people start acting like it ._.

they aren't uncommon
everything from Impossible Creatures, to some older Sims games, to a whole host of spec projects

Impossible Creatures is more hybrid, and not actual designing of animals to be honest. 'Design your own Dinosaur' makes it sound like they weren't actually real, and that they could be whatever you wanted them to be.

Spec projects are completely different, and not what I'm talking about at all.

Actually I'm quite fine with that, at least it doesn't break the law of science and nature.

That's still pretty complete compared to many fossils, but I think I'm going off-topic. xD
