But that's the problem, it does the magazines I see them in encourage children to give their "dinosaurs" eight legs or fire breathing or three heads

that sounds hilarious childrens media will forever be scarred with stupidity whenever animals (dinosaurs or not) are involved

even back in 50's pterosaurs were better known than that and yes, I am referring to actual material published during the 1950's, not just being facetious that thing you posted, in an anaconda with wings sounds like an asylum movie Edited by stargatedalek, Jun 15 2014, 03:17 PM.

Exactly. Also, while the original WWD obviously did a better job with the behaviour of its animals, the movie paid closer attention to anatomical accuracy IMO (scaly gorgosaurs and skinny edmontosaurs aside).
