Well, this happened a few years ago, but long story short, I drew a Tyrannosaurus in school and made him wonderfully feddered, only for one person to come and ask me what was covering it. After not believing that they were fedders, he and the people around me came to the conclusion that Tyrannosaurus probably had fur.

We need another Jurassic Park (as in another wildly popular dinosaur film that will change the public perception of dinosaurs). JP made the public realize that dinosaurs were active, intelligent beasts rather than the lumbering pea-brained behemoths that had been depicted up until that point. But now JP has suffered the same fate as the films before it, now it is the outdated portrayal that still clings to the pop-consciousness. What we need is another such film that will make the public realize how much dinosaurs have changed since JP first came out, just like how JP made people realize how much dinosaurs had changed since they were last depicted in films like King Kong and One Million BC. WWD 3D had the potential to be that film, but of course the executives at Fox just had to meddle with it and turn something awesome into something that was "meh, not bad I guess". Maybe if we're lucky Jurassic World could be our saviour, though I wouldn't get my hopes up.

its been confirmed Jurassic World will not be featuring any complete redesigns, AFAIK they are even going back to the pre-JP3 raptors that being said, I don't mind that JW isn't going to redesign the dinosaurs, since it would break canon to do so what I think we need is a new mainstream sci-fi dinosaur series with accurate dinosaurs since documentaries, no matter how little FOX gets involved, will only ever cater to a considerably smaller audience |

Then again, something like that is at least better than trying to make Godzilla scientifically accurate by today's standards. |

It also stated that it could hold into it's prey with it's 'fearsome' claws. I guess they are blind. |
