I also think Dilophosaurus probably would've had a partial covering of protofeathers, that's just me though.
as do I
but as of currently I'd say thats at liberty to speculation as to whether dilophosaurus was feathered

Not sure if this qualifies, but I hate it when people redesign Godzilla monsters to look like modern theropods and use teh excuse that Godzilla was accurate for his time, and should be updated with a modern look. Well, if that's so, then why is it that throughout the 60 years Goji has been around, every movie has kept his stance, his roar, his size, and his firebreath?

I don't see how thats a paleontology error
in fact the reverse is a paleontology error

you get no sympathy from me, my favorite gojira (or rather godzilla, since this one technically should be called godzilla) is the 98 one because its the only one that looks anything like a real animal

The new 2014 Godzilla looks somewhat like a real animal too in my opinion (definitely nothing like a theropod, but still an animal that could plausibly exist).

I hate when someone who has the same theory/(ies) as I do tries to shove them down peoples throats as fact, which only serves to make people think of the theory as bogus

Yes, it's not "technically" a palaeontology error, but it's definitely a mistake. If Toho wanted to make Godzilla like a real theropod, they would've updated him over time instead of keeping his general characteristics. He's not supposed to be a theropod anymore, he's a species all of his own now, and if Toho dropped the pretense that he was supposed to be a theropod a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time ago, then why should people redesigning him keep that pretense. And stargate, the 1998 Godzilla isn't Godzilla. That movie was so awful that once Tristar's rights to Godzilla ran out, they bought him out, renamed him, and put him in Godzilla: Final Wars for the express purpose of having him get his ass kicked by the real Godzilla.

godzilla is the American name
so no, the only "real godzilla" are the ones made by American companies, 1998 and 2014 versions
all others made outside USA are gojira, they can be translated as godzilla, but they are not "really godzilla"

my translation may be a little rough but I don't believe the Toho gojira was meant to represent a dinosaur, but rather a different fictional group of reptiles from the mesozoic, I can't be sure since its been years since I watched the originals

This first portion of the post is off-topic, forgive me. BUT, it's not a Gojira/Godzilla, and hasn't been for some time. It never deserved to be called Godzilla, so it was renamed Zilla since it was such a horrid disgrace to kaiju films, and was put being killed by the real Gojira in Godzilla: Final Wars.

Back on topic, I hate it when people draw dinosaurs that look like they are from the 1800's and call them "accurate."

There are many infinitely worse kaiju films, just lacking the high profile branding so godzilla 98 tends to get a lot more hate
just because the plot was wishing it was in JP and the gags were corny does not make the design of godzilla itself any worse

OK dude, you can call Godzilla Gojira if you want to, but Japan is the only, I repeat, ONLY place in the world that calls him Gojira anymore. Gojira is the Japanese name, and that's what Japanese people call him, Americans call him Godzilla, regardless of where he was made. Yes, Gojira is technically correct, since he's a Japanese monster, but I and every other American on the planet have been calling him Godzilla for years, so why should I change my ways now? And I'd like to reiterate, the only "American Godzilla" is the 2014 one, because the 1998 one was, I reiterate, bought out by Toho and given an entirely different name, therefore, the 1998 Godzilla is not Godzilla, he/she/it is Zilla.

agreed on both accounts

I think its the most realistic design, but whatever ;)

my dad is getting preachy that tyrannosaurus having feathers is only a possible theory and not fact
he wouldn't give me sources so I bet its wikipedia thats giving him BS facts that hes trying to convince me of

While I agree with some of the points you're making, don't you think you're being a bit too aggressive in this argument? It's just a movie franchise, nothing to get too steamed up about. :P

EDIT: That was for Dr. Hax. xD

I get steamed up easily whenever I see people trying to force their opinions or their way of saying something on other people, especially if it's me. It's kind of a Berserk Button for me.

I don't think stargate was trying to force her opinion on you, to me she just seemed to be defending her own opinion. Anyway, this is getting quite off-topic. xD
