True, but if I saw it anywhere else but this topic I probably would never have realized they were even meant to be dinosaurs, they just look like man-dog-lizards to me. xD

the pliosaurs and plesiosaurs are fairly recognizable
after which the dinosaurs/pterosaur kind of fall into place

To be fair, this was a 19th century restoration, and they had left the quadruple lizard stage already.

Oh, is it? Didn't know. I guess it was fairly accurate for the time then, and I'll admit it doesn't look bad as an artistic piece.

"So you want to eat me? That's cool....I'll just give ya'll a pat on the back and watch as you strip my flesh even though you likely don't belong in my time and didn't likely hunt in groups to attack animals as large as my 3 ton frame.."

To be fair, the book that picture is from was written in the 80s.

i just realized there are some Chasmosaurs in the background, they look fairly ok in today's reconstructions.

I think so too. IIRC that book was in the library of my old school.

I have (maybe had, I don't remember if I still have them somewhere) 2 big volumes of them
each has a dozen or so stories, but there is apparently 1 (maybe 2) more volumes and each story is also available individually
so I've not read all of them
