Didn't the name come from the time when megalosaurus still looked like this, I highly doubt the paleontologist back then knew what a sauropod foot looked like. |

I know... it was a joke... and actually Sauropoda was named just after the discovery of Diplodocus in 1878, 24 years after the Crystal Palace dinosaursAnd hey, don't knock them! They're pretty amazing in real life! |

Perhaps one is T. horridus and the other is prorsus? BTW are those from the same book as the one from before with the "dinosaurs making fresh lemonade"? Edited by CyborgIguana, Jul 16 2014, 11:51 AM.

According to the book it's a Heterodontosaurus (not like you'd ever be able to tell though ).

So animals will be extinct because they eat each other. That is a lie. |

Because it's not like they'd been eating each other for 160 million years already, is it? That would just be unthinkable!

Regarding some of what was said a few pages back, about non-paleo experts and ignorance, I think you guys are being a bit harsh. I'm hardly an expert myself, and I do know probably about 20 dinosaurs, but just because I may not pronounce a name correctly or be able to identify different species immediately or accurately, doesn't mean I'm "not even trying". I consider myself open to new discoveries in the field, and when I told my friend that velociraptors had feathers she accepted it without any "NO THEY DIDN'T GERSH" like you seem to think most people who are 'ignorant' do.

Yeah, that's true. After all, there are tons of things that I'm ignorant to and no one's giving me crap for those. I just have trouble empathizing with people on account of the fact that I have aspergers. Back on topic, I think St. George is just putting that Baryonyx out of its misery because it's so hideous.

Exactly like me izzi, but i try too much to learn about them since i'm actually a big dinosaur fan and i really wish i was an expert or atleast of some sort, i myself still can barely know the difference between a Charcharodontosaurus and a Giganotosaurus i'm not being ignorant i'm actually trying and learning new stuff everyday (who knew protoceratops was an omnivore )EDIT: ninja'd not going back off topic
