Yes. Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, and History Channel. Aliens killed off the dinosaurs so humans can be the dominant species.

These reconstructions should listen to Emily Willoughby.

I don't think the last one is bad, sure, it has the vulture look that Tris here hates, but I think it's nice ...

both of those look perfectly fine to me, the vulture/turkey look is overused to heck but its not inaccurate

As Dalek said, I dislike the look purely because it is overused to the point of seeming more like a gag "look at how ugly they are", rather than an actual serious illustration.

The vulture look is not inaccurate though.

THOSE specific reconstructions on the other hand, are. The bottom one lacks leg wings, and the top one has feathers that end way to far up the snout.

Edit: This is a bit old, 2 months to be exact, but hey, hating on these people is always relevant:

Dnews, welcome to stupid.

Subject matter: A diplodocid that survived the jurassic mass extinction.

Actual report: Make fun of its name, and then claim it survived the cretaceous mass extinction, and that birds are not dinosaurs.

Conclusion: Dnews are god damn idiots.

the top one has some issues with general proportions, but the bare face/throat/boot while not conservative, is not technically inaccurate and entirely plausible

the same goes for hind-wings on the bottom, they are the most likely assumption, but its not technically inaccurate to leave them out

Dnews is screwed up, and the rest of Discovery channel is following suit

@Nomis It's not a troll, it's a joke? People make up CIA and FBI conspiracies like this all the time because it's funny. I've personally never heard this one before, but I've definitely heard about the Pokemon one.

P.S I happen to like vultures too

Is faking fossils for money a real thing?

If you sell them to private collectors... probably. But I doubt it's possible to fake a fossil that an expert wouldn't identify.
