Seriously though, this news that just makes Spinosaurus weirder also makes it more awesome. The world needed a quadrupedal theropod.

The fact that Mark Witton hasn't posted about Ikrandraco yet on his blog. I'd have thought he'd be one of the first to comment on this discovery.

@Cyborg: I hate political correctness and the fact that we have to hide an opinion because it may "hurt someone's sensibilities" Ahh give me a freaking break, nowadays everything is considered "offensive" or "pejorative" and its been decided we need moral guardians to sort out whats offensive and whats not, infact its this political correctness that is ruining the modern world... rants aside I hate when people think we know prehistoric ecosystems in depth, no we don't we have found less than 1% of all life that lived on the planet, how can we know every detail of the life of "X" or the place inhabited by "Y". The bulls**t notion that we can't know anything about the distant past because we weren't there to witness it. Right, just like we can't know anything about outer space because we've never been outside of Earth's orbit. All the stars and planets that we observe with our telescopes are obviously just optical illusions. This is basically the kind of logic creationists and pseudo-scientists use to debunk our understanding of the prehistoric past. I mean, I agree that we know relatively little about the past and that there's a lot more left to learn than there is that's been discovered, but to claim that even what little we do know could all be 100% wrong is bullcrap!
