What annoys you about paleontology?; Rant on about moronic theories, complaints, or just animals that annoy you.

To change the topic: a recent hypothesis I just read about that proposes all Morrison diplodocids are just growth stages of Amphicoelias fragillimus.

Yeeeaahhhno.
Species Clumping just got extreme.

Why do these people not realize that it makes as much sense to attack the existence of dinosaurs as it does to attack the existence of air or outer space?

Also, that AiG comic is just sad, as is the case with virtually all their propaganda.

While school shootings are caused by bullying, and sometimes religious extremism, not the understanding of evolution this photo doesn't have anything to do with paleontology. It goes better in the Atheist Hangout, especially in the AiG topic I made.

Why the f**k hasn't AiG been shut down yet? It is an insult and a patronization of human intelligence in every conceivable way!

I'd suggest stopping this now before this evolves in a fight again.

That picture doesn't even do it justice. They've got under-exaggerated versions of each sauropod with one representative per GENUS. So I went out of my way to get something a bit more suitable. Here's the breakdown:

Posted Image

Orange: Barosaurus lentus
Red: Diplodocus carnegii
Dark Red: Diplodocus hallorum (formerly Seismosaurus)
Light Green: Apatosaurus ajax
Medium Green: Apatosaurus excelsus
Dark Green: Apatosaurus louisae
Very Dark Green (Silhouette): Possible maximum size of Apatosaurus louisae based on remains from Oklahoma.
Yellow: Supersaurus vivianae

Diplodocus longus omitted because I couldn't find a skeletal that wasn't just a schematic of D. carnegii. It should be in between D. carnegii and D. hallorum in size and shape kinda.

Now *THAT* is what Amphicoelias's big fanboy is trying to lump together.

Gee guys, don't forget about Haplocanthosaurus it sure was a juvenile Amphicoelias too, because you know, juvenile animals tend to show primitive features xD

Why have creationists to fight against evolution?
If god really is almighty, he could just simply appear in all it´s almighty and prove creation...
Maybe come in my room, throw a piece of wood on the ground and let it turn into a living indian kobra.
Well, not meant offensive, but actually:

Spoiler: click to toggle

Before you start the hatewave, I´m cristian...
