Out of curiosity where did you find that out? I recall Fragillimus335 on dA linking to a paper which sunk A. fragillimus into A. altus, and A. altus into Diplodocus, but I haven't heard about all the Morrison diplodocids being growth stages?

It was apparently some 2010 paper that has understandably been met with heavy skepticism. Mentioned briefly on Wikipedia IIRC. |

The unsophisticated view of paleontology that much of the general public holds. |

Oh yes. Why do people think fossils are just some old bones? They could be thankful if they´re lucky enough to get old bones when they died. Why think people that extinct animals have to be monsters? They are the real monsters when they say innocent creatures as violent killers. Why do people thin that science ruines everything? Science make things better. Why think people that studying prehistoric animals is unneccessary? Thanks to people like those humans will extinct soon. Why think people that fethered dinosaurs aren´t scary/look stupid? And why do they don´t understand why the pigeons and Crows keep sh*tting on them? |

They see chickens, those birds are scary even if they don't attack you they look like they want to kill you. Also remember those videos that said dinosaurs didn't exist. A guy replied to my comment and said dinosaurs weren't feathered. And you know what was his evidence. He used the guy in the video who said they glued feathers to dinosaur fossils. Roosters, not hens, are usually pretty mean. But a lot of birds are. I'd love to throw someone who thinks feathers look non scary into a pit of angry nesting swans, which are regarded as being beautifully feathered, but can still hit you like a baseball bat

Oh yes. I was attacked by a swan once. Let us say, there is a reason why I prefer feathered dinosaurs over scaly ones

Hens will peck if you grab their chicks. Well I wasn't attacked by chickens, probably because I was feeding them, though they did act a little aggressive at first. |

I'd rather be attacked by a swan than the 3m saltwater crocodile that tried to eat me when I was a child any day. I at least can understand why the public believes the reptilian stereotype to be scarier than the scientifically accurate feathery creatures we know dinosaurs to be. |

I've never been attacked by a crocodile, but I WAS attacked by Canada geese multiple times in my childhood. Those memories still scar me! *Shudders* |
