What annoys you about paleontology?; Rant on about moronic theories, complaints, or just animals that annoy you.

Oh god, me neither o.O
Damn you confusing names!

Goddamnit the French wikipedia is bullshit. Micropachycephalosaurus is still listed as a Pachycephalosaurid (not even Pachycephalosaurian), and being 50 cm long (English wikipedia says one metre).

I have no idea what I am doing

Non-ornithologists thinking they know everything about feathers, especially on dinosaurs. -.-

You don't have to be an ornithologist to see that some dinosaurs were clearly feathered.

Statements like "It didn't have feathers because it was too big" or "It didn't have feathers because it lived in a hot place" are made by people who have no idea how feathers work. Which probably means they aren't an ornithologist.

Oh, NVM. I briefly thought you were another BANDit! xD

I agree, it's annoying when people say such things. For example ratites are both big and live in warm climates for the most part, but I don't see much naked skin on them.

Male Ostriches also have black feathers, black attracts a lot of heat.

What really annoys me are the people who somehow think non-avian dinosaurs, or any extinct Mesozoic animal, are still alive and are mistaken as dragons and cryptids. No. The Lizard Man is not a dinosaur and Nessie isn't a Pleisiosaur.

Okay, Ignacio, if you don´t like Allosaurs, I think we can talk about another dinosaur.
I´d suggest Sue or Jane :D

Jokes aside, why shouldn´t we talk about MOR 693?
