What annoys you about paleontology?; Rant on about moronic theories, complaints, or just animals that annoy you.

Poor allosaur. I wish I could go back in time 150 million years to warn it that its remains will someday be displayed as a mockery of science.
What mocking Allosaurus oO,I wish i was there to warn the people who are mocking him.Seriously they have lost it,were are all the paleontologists and nature specialists now? -.-

Well I think it is being used to show that dragons of the ages were just dinosaurs who were mutated from our imagination to create dragons instead of dinosaurs.
Clearly you don't know much about the Creation museum. Maybe if it were more rational that would be the case, but no, these nutjobs are seriously suggesting that medieval knights came face-to-face with living dinosaurs and incorporated them into their mythology! Scum like these make me physically sick to my stomach! I mean, if you're insane enough to think this is the case then that's your problem, but PLEASE, don't steal (in my eyes what they did was equivalent to stealing) priceless scientific artifacts to make your own deranged point!
Really I would understand that dead skeletons made up the mindset they existed for real as in dragons explaining the main reptilian features and sometimes wings from flying reptilian cousins of dinosaurs. But really dragons we see more often alive are just normal felines, birds, and even serpents because they were our monsters of nightmares when we were well lower apes like monkeys or gibbons. But saying a medieval night smacked a Allosaurus with a sword is impossible besides it would have been a axe more likely, since swords were lesser used because they were mostly rusty or blunt that it was more weight than blade killing people.

I also do not think those fossils are priceless but still their really important for dinosaurian research and should be displayed properly with a diplodocus, stegosaurus, and because it still would be better than making a dinosaur into a man eating monster of our nightmares a hadrosaurs even though they did not live together.

Someday I'm gonna write a horror story about normal pterosaurs that mutate into killers looking like Peters' reconstructions. And it will be called..."The Pterosaurs!"

Dude, why are you defending the poor actions of an anti-science institution? Buying this skull was unforgiveable! UNFORGIVEABLE!!!

Oh I am not actually. I mean if it does some scientific thing like saying, oh people during blah times must have thought dinosaur skeletons were monster dragons who ate people.

Also did you read the second paragraph I would rather at the point there were medieval knights in their mind slayed dinosaurs would rather see a allosaurus with a hadrosaurs trying to eat each other. Really I rather see that then a knight fig... Actually I want to see the who wins in that fight of Allo VS King Authur there.... But still in a sciticfic stand point rather see it do the allo Vs Hadro than Allo VS Knight...

I'm sorry, but I didn't understand a word of that. What were you trying to say? It just sounded to me like you were at first trying to defend the actions of this museum.

Sounds the same to me.

What I also get is how some dubious dinosaurs, like Kelmayisaurus, are seen as an existent species of dinosaur.

*Facepalm*

Okay let me put it at this...

I think making it that dinosaurs lived with humans is a no no.

I think that a knight fighting a Allosaurus would look cool and wonder who would win in that fight.

Then that I would rather see a Allosaurus trying to kill a Edmontaosaurus or something form the cretaceous even though it is from the Jurassic and all while it is standing like old T-Rex when people thought they did tail lag.

Mega, in my eyes, you're acting like the rare and possibly endangered Allosaurus fanboy.

Being hidden in the shadows of Spinosaurus and T.rex fanboys....
