I'm sorry, but Big Al's crossed me one too many times to just not talk about him. I don't care if you warn me but I MUST declare my annoyance.

HE MIGHT NOT EVEN BE A GOD DAMN ALLOSAURUS FRAGILIS. >:(

I thought it was from Morrison, I never heard from an Allosaurus besides A.fragilis from Morrison. :/

Wikipedia

A. atrox, A. fragilis, "A. jimmadseni", and A. lucasi are all known from remains discovered in the Kimmeridgian–Tithonian Upper Jurassic-age Morrison Formation of the United States

Wikipedia says otherwise xD

Excuse me, I tend to not check Wikipedia since I noticed that the german one failed to mention Yutyrannus in the T.rex article over 3 years....

There really are a ton of different Allosaurus species and most of them appear to be from different stratigrahic positions...

BTW Yutyrannus we were actually talking about a former member named Big Al, not the Allosaurus specimen. :P

Ok ^^

I liked Big Al´s appearance in the BBC special.
I almost cried when the poor guy died :'(

Here's something that mildly annoys me: while the fact that we're rapidly learning more and more about prehistoric animals each day is great, it also often means there's less and less room for speculation and creativity in paleo-art as we get closer and closer to the true reality of Earth's ancient past. That's a small loss that I'm willing to give up, though.

Yeah... We now can't draw a Sinosauropteryx other than a red browish fussy nussy with long bared tail...

Well you can as long as you say and know it's inaccurate, and not something serious.

Bare tail? I think you might be confusing it with Kulindadromeus, I'm pretty sure the Sino fossils show feathers on the tail. :P
