Could be worse, they could say it used the plates to fly or something (I have heard of that idea before!) |

It could've been worse, like what Meerkatmatt2 said. Stegosaurus was once depicted as turtle-like, much like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Stegosaur.jpg Edited by Fluffs, Oct 19 2013, 09:04 PM.

Here are some things i hate: -just because some dinos were found with feathers does not mean all of them do! -people say pteradons, tapejera ,nyctosaurus type are said not to be dinos when nearly all dinosaur movies have them. -make up weird stories about dinosaurs which change thoughts about dinosaurs e.g.cartoons. |

*sighs* If their ancestors or close cousins did, they probably did, meaning now the majority of them are thought to have based on what we've found.
Many movies have talking dogs, but this doesn't mean dogs actually can talk. They're still not dinosaurs. They're archosaurs, yes, but of an entirely different lineage.

If you're so full of hate about, I guess you won't like these: 1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feathered_dinosaur <- so you can trace how deep feathers go inside Dinosauria and that if someone says a certain species was feathered because it had feathered ancestral relatives, doesn't mean the person says all members of Dinosauria were feathered. (unless the theory that dinosaur scales are evolved from feathers is taken into account ) 2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avemetatarsalia <- About the pterosaur and dinosaur relationship. Pterosaurs are not dinosaurs, just as theropods are not sauropods and as dogs aren't cats. Related doesn't mean one and the same. You're not your cousin, your aunt is not your uncle. your third point is impossible for me to comperhend, sorry

There'll be no foot-walking! Just air-flying!

Just because some mammals were found with hair does not mean all of them have hair ! Just because all birds were found with feathers does not mean all of them have feathers ! Just because all reptiles were found with scales does not mean all of them have scales ! Oh wait, they do... |

Dude, no offence, but maybe you should just avoid this topic. Basically everything you've said so far would make a real paleo-fan cringe. |

Agreed. Even more annoying is older paleo-fans who are actually nostalgic about such depictions. I just can't believe they prefer those lethargic scaly tail-draggers to the hot-blooded feathery speedsters of the 21st century. |
