What annoys you about paleontology?; Rant on about moronic theories, complaints, or just animals that annoy you.

It's at least right about us living in an age of fiction, though they have it backwards as to which belief is the fictional one. :P

If it never existed, explain to me the presence of the 30+ authentic fossil specimens from western North America, many of which are nearly complete skeletons. :P

Well technically those are from T. rex. T-Rex did indeed never exist, it's a fictional scaly green monster that lives near active volcanoes and menaces cavemen.

To be fair, that one was likely a troll. But for me, trolls are just as annoying, if not more annoying, than truly ignorant people when it comes to paleontology.

At least it wasn't another "Triceratops never existed". I'm gonna punch a wall if I see one more of those. Luckily I haven't for a while.

Long haired species in hot climates doesn't surprise me.

Hell, bison habitats get pretty hot for much of the year, and they're really hairy. Not as hairy as say, Musk Ox, but bison are still huge animals from sun exposed plains that aren't leathery beasts.
Indeed, infact many things decide if an animal is gonna loose integument or not, size in particular is not one of them

I could infact bring forth even more examples such as brown bears of the gobi desert and black bears on arizona and Mexico.
I wonder if there were any bald ground sloths, even if we don't have any direct evidence of them. I'm sure one could evolve, after all, since it seems to be a pretty easy change to make.

There'd have to be a reason for it to go bald though. Evolutionary changes don't just happen because they can.

You're absolutely right, I don't think it would just randomly happen.
