What annoys you about paleontology?; Rant on about moronic theories, complaints, or just animals that annoy you.

Agreed. Even more annoying is older paleo-fans who are actually nostalgic about such depictions. I just can't believe they prefer those lethargic scaly tail-draggers to the hot-blooded feathery speedsters of the 21st century.
Hey, come on, I think you're being a little harsh towards them. After all, even I have a nostalgic fondness for C.R. Knight's illustrations.

Oh, I didn't mean Knight. That guy actually managed to draw retro-style dinosaurs well, I just meant godawful depictions like this:

I was being sarcastic. After all, that pseudo-dragon reconstruction is just about the most accurate thing on the planet, especially compared to THIS abomination:

Knight's depiction's are nice and all, but Buckland's the true master of accurate dinosaurus.

Anyways, I hate how that after Anchiornis was discovered, you can hardly find a Troodontid without a head crest.

Well, technically reptiles don't have the same...er...parts that we do, but I think that's the idea. Anyway, whoever drew that horrendous restoration is probably burning in Hell now. :P

I enjoy Knight's illustrations because he seemed to be one of the first paleo-artists to actually try to make dinosaurs look like real animals instead of mythical monsters or dragons.
