What annoys you about paleontology?; Rant on about moronic theories, complaints, or just animals that annoy you.

IIRC Werner Herzog only narrated in between scenes in Dinotasia, the actual scenes were narration-less for the most part.

And yes, DR certainly had a narrator.
Ah. Thank you for the correction. :)

I have been helping someone with a paleozoic game on roblox. Every player calls dimetrodon, gorgonopsians, diictodon, lysterosaurus, estemmenosuchus, and the every none arthropod a dinosaur. And they call Sea scorpions just Scorpions.

And here I am with a few of the developers yelling "THEY ARE NOT DINOSAURS!"

Players: "Isn't this mesozoic? There's a spinosaurus"

Us: "NOOOOOOO!"

Dunkelosteus, I think I got the name right for once, is not a freaking shark.

Not every predatory fish in the world is a freaking shark!

The interleaving teeth are quite bizarre for a dinosaur, frankly.

I think some people just use "dinosaur" as a catch-all term for anything that's been dead longer than a few thousand years. No one could possibly be stupid enough to think that Pleistocene mammals or Paleozoic arthropods are classified along with reptiles (at least I would hope so).

Nah I don't buy that one, Ice Age movies made it clear that Sid was not a dinosaur.
