Because of course a fish that lived over 350 million years EARLIER than Megalodon just HAD to be the cause of its extinction. It's only the most obvious line of reasoning. :P

Dunkleosteus isn't exactly newly discovered, either.

Ingame he also has a Xenomorph-style tongue.

Anyways, that game doesn't really take anything seriously, there are helicopters who drop explosive barrels and a guy who rides a great white like a water ski.

Not to mention it's dietary requirements are, submarines and naval mines.

This game is fun, yeah, but it's a pay-to-win. Even playing during a hour only gives you 600 coins or so. Last time I checked, Great White costed 40.000 ... It disappoints me..
But seeing prehistoric creatures makes me love that game even more. I wonder what it could be like if they added Mosasaurus or Pliosaurus...

Who on earth would pay that much money to see dinosaur inaccuracy?

Prehistoric marine vertebrate inaccuracy, actually. :P

And the game is actually centered around sharks IIRC (most of which are currently living).

Hungry shark evolution.
TBH I don't think it's a pay to win, I unlocked Dunkleosteus all by myself.

Personally I liked JW, even if it was inaccurate (it should be noted that the entire JP franchise is to some extent).

Please understand CI, I like you, I respect you, and please don't take it personally just because it was your post I quoted, but IT ****ING PISSES ME OFF TO NO END when people say they enjoyed a dinosaur based movie "despite being inaccurate" or "even if it was inaccurate" and things like that.

FFS, why does the capacity to enjoy a dinosaur movie have to depend on whether or not it's bloody accurate. No other fan types throw such a massive fit over whether or not their desired movies are accurate. None. Ever. At all.

CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT THE WORLD WOULD BE LIKE IF EVERY MOVIE HAD FANS AS PICKY AS DINO-FANS? "I hated Star Wars and Star Trek because you could see their lasers and hear explosions in space!". Hollywood would crash in less than a week, I assure you.

It shouldn't even be of note. "Personally, I liked JW". END IT THERE. LEAVE. IT. THERE. STATEMENT MADE, NOW STEP AWAY FROM IT!

GOD. ****ING. DAMNIT.
