Once again part of the ZT2 Community.

Simply was watching Atlanticraft on Youtube. And then I find idiots debating about spinosaurus and tyrannosaurus.

If there's one thing YouTube comments have taught us as dinosaur nerds, it's that idiots will never stop debating about Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus. Also, I see people saying that Tyrannosaurus is the biggest dinosaur.

Still one of the better maniraptorans to appear in the mainstream media if you ask me (WWD3D sucked because of the voiceovers alone IMO, there wasn't much wrong with the dinosaur concepts).

But yeah, compared to the original concept that's still a bizarre mess-up.

Mosasaurs are still very elongated animals, not the compact look later ichthyosaurs have. Dorsal fins, as far as I know, are completely unknown in mosasaurs.
Weeell...

Platecarpus:

Point of this is that dolphins, even the really slim ones without dorsal fins, have A LOT of soft tissue over their skeletons. What that Platecarpus skeleton shows is, not what the fossils actually fully indicated, but a more likely minimalist outline based off the fragments we got and the preserved posture of the spinal column (compared to the old school eel-lizards with the perfectly horizontal spinal columns and rather varanoid integument).
That's good and all, except that isn't the kind of bulk I am talking about.

I can't seem to find the image that sparked that comment in the first place, but it was fatter than this one:

IDK, maybe it was a mislabeled picture of Shonisaurus or some spec evo thing.

Fair point.

That said, it's always better to put TOO much fat and soft tissue on an animal than not enough.

At least the final version has feathers.

What would've made it better though would be to replace the tail and body plumage of the concept with the tail and plumage of the final version.

I've seen this guy before. Basically he's in denial and thinks all feathered dinosaurs are fake because they come from China (never mind that Velociraptor is from Mongolia, Archaeopteryx and Sciurumimus are from Germany, and Ornithomimus is from North America).
