That whole website fits perfectly in the topic, to be honest.

Freshwater plesiosaurs are a thing IIRC (Leptocleidus I think).
There's not only leptocleidus, but also an obscure bahariyan polycotlid aswell as an elasmosaur from the neuquén river beds, apparently, Austroraptor's habitat was quite the magnificent floodplain.

I guess it's because it's more scary with that long tail and short but massive head full of teeth.

They could've still used Darwinopterus or other large rhamphorhynchoids.
Keep in mind when that movie came out. Pteranodon was the biggest known pterosaur by a huge margin and the biggest non-pterodactyloid known at the time was Rhamphorhynchus.

BTW I read a bit of Fluffy's "Them and Us" site , and now I feel like bleaching my brain. Alright, so neanderthals probably competed with early Homo sapiens for food and space, but I HIGHLY doubt there was a legitimate predator/prey relationship between the two. And that's to say nothing of the bipedal demon gorillas they illustrated.

And no, I'm not disturbed by those images out of some primal fear of neanderthals like the page suggests, I'm disturbed by them simply because they're painfully implausible-looking and ugly!

Yeah I already came across this website and commented on it in this very site, it is worth noting that the one who proposed this "theory" is a professional writter with no anthropology studying background, who thinks that Homo sapiens arise from the Middle East and who based his whole "theory" in a deformed Neanderthal skull which didn't have a noticable nose bone due to pathology, unlike virtually all Neanderthal skulls, bonus points for the fact that said bone tend to be bigger in Neanderthals than modern humans which is one of the reason Neanderthals are usually reconstructed with large bulbous noses.

Also if you look at his simian like ouline of Neanderthal skull you will notice that in order to put it in that pose the neck vertebrae are litterally unattached from the skull (so he also get's and F on basic anathomy)...

^^ How that does even work??!! Were are the cervicals suppose to attach, from the throat and with a massive arch instad of you know from the back? Is he unaware greater apes foramen magnum is placed in a completely different position for that to work?

I like to compare it to early XIX century scientist which went out of their way to proof how unhuman and inmoral Neanderthals were by using a very old, arthritis riddle and not that well preserved individual. Only that nowadays we really should KNOW BETTER.

I haven't even start to dig on the whole racial ettendre that his "theory" has... Notice how all Neanderthal have a very dark skin colour? Yep, that's not accidental and shows yet more connections ot XIX Anthropology, how odd... /s .

People who accuse me of being a JP fanboy because I enjoyed Jurassic World.

Because, you know, it's not like I'm entitled to my own taste in movies or anything.

No. The Terror Bird from Ark is MUCH more accurate (looking at the dossier) that, as suggested from the image source thing, is from Wildlife Park. Also it says it's a Deinonychus

Although I agree that image is ugly weren't you, Joysy, the guy who said inaccurate dinosaurs were acceptable in games in the Ark topic.

The PC Carno is actually relatively accurate AFAIK. A bit exaggeratedly "awesomebro" in appearance I guess, but otherwise not too bad.

Honestly I think the background image and the Vastatosaurus wannabe on the left are more cause for concern. And the fact that the poster is just made up of random stock dinosaur images is pretty lazy in itself.

Well yeah. I do think inaccurate dinosaurs were ok in ARK. I was just saying that.. That.. THING!! Is so horrible accuracy wise that it literally makes the ARK dinosaurs look like something out of a highly accurate dinosaur documentary (I know the ARK dinosaurs are inaccurate as well. But ARKs dinosaurs are ok considering the setting of the game and aren't the actual species as the ones we are used to. But Wildlife Park can't share that excuse since they are supposed to be the actual dinosaurs/extinct animals in the real world)
