But ARKs dinosaurs are ok considering the setting of the game and aren't the actual species as the ones we are used to.
a big problem with the separate species thing I have is (due to physical differences) most of the ark 'dinosaurs' should be in completely different genre than their real life 'counterparts'

You guys realize that's a fan made mod from before Dino World right? No offense to anyone here but that's kind of a jerk move criticizing an old mod, that's like complaining at Zoo Admin mods for not being realistic. Really from the Gastornis model the guy/girl did a pretty good job.

That's the Running Tyrannosaurus figure by Papo, which has pretty much become a stock image for lazy people and companies.

The thing is I actually know the person who made this monstrosity. I really don't care; I'll show it here anyway.

Give that thing tentacles, remove the facial features, and put it in a suit and I think we have ourselves a Slenderdino.

I simultaneously hate and love it when people who know jack s**t about science attempt to discredit it. It's almost adorably pathetic.

If your friend says that Dunkleosteus is a ostracoderm, you can just laugh and correct him or her.
But when a schoolbook says the same thing, THAT is something serious.
