I AM THE UNSHRINKWRAPPER!

It took me about 15 seconds to realize that thing in the middle isn't a Theropod whose tail got run over by a car.

OH GOSH, DID THEY JUST LABEL THAT SAUROPOD "COELOPHYSIS?"

A piece of toast and a terminator.

^One of my favorite books as a little kid...

Anyway, I had a book that said T. rex was the biggest and most ferocious of the dinosaurs. If you want to teach kids lies about dinosaurs make them believable.

And AJ, that sauropod IS labeled as a Coelophysis.

I notice such books never bother to bring up the issue of how we can measure just how "ferocious" an extinct animal is from fossilized bones alone.

Rat snake is love... Rat snake is life

- Hadrosaur and other ornithopods depicted without cheeck/whatever the muscle that straps on the side if the jaws called.
- Ankylosaur with accurate head and anything but totally random armor placement on its back.
- Creating stereotype for certain animal group, like every Troodontids are depicts as small, jackal-liked hunter or every ceratopsians gathers in extremely large herd. I mean, sure we have some proof that some members of the group did actually behave like that, but this doesn't mean it have to be applied to the whole group!

Apparently there's evidence for scales in Dimetrodon? Just saw it on Witton's Facebook, I'm waiting for the article to pop up.

They gave three rows of spikes to Stego, what were you expecting ?
At least they are not making it roll around cutting everything with them (I hope).

Not scales, dermal plates on its belly and tail.

Think of an opossum tail.

The rest of the body is bald and leathery like a hippo though.

Complaining about ARK makes as much sense as complaining about the Jurassic Park films. ARK has a reason as for why the dinosaurs and other animals are inaccurate just like Jurassic Park does. :| Also, they never called it a dinosaur or a lizard as far as I know.

Anyways:

There's a difference between apropriate feathering and straight up plush toy. But I have to admit that Stegosaurus is just too cute.
