What annoys you about paleontology?; Rant on about moronic theories, complaints, or just animals that annoy you.

This fellow isn't described for a scientific name AFAIK and it's really irking me

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Arctic_camel

That's nothing.

The Saint Bathans mammal is probably one of the mot important discoveries in mammal paleontology in the 2000's... and it's still hasn't got a scientific name.

Even the proto-kiwi (which, mind you, is ridiculously ignored by everyone) got a name before it. How sad.

Mate, you gotta post details on those at some point. I didn't even know either was a thing!

I heared that the Saint Bathans mammal is thought to be one of the last surving Gondwanatherian mammals ever discovered... Other than that I haven't heared/read much about it...

Pick a god and pray!

There's nothing better than a T. rex-hater who supports the theory of them being scavengers & thinks a large majority of known tyrannosaurids lived in the same time and place.

Not bothering with the huge predator rumble said person just created, why would those be hunters but rex not while there's barely any difference among (most of) them ?

AFAIK Dakotaraptor was the only other apex predator of the Hell Creek ecosystem, and it was only a fraction of the size of T. rex (and apparently much rarer as well).

Urggh.... If Mesozoica's people treat people who actually gave them good critique and pointing out their flaw civilly like that... I have no more respect to this team and the game anymore.

Unrelated, but it rather irks me when people think that every living thing in prehistory (sometimes right down to the invertebrates and plant life) was by necessity bigger, more alien, and more dangerous than anything around us today. Like, why are there dinosaur movies that have gigantic butterflies or carnivorous plants the size of a two-car garage? Since when were those a thing?
