What annoys you about paleontology?; Rant on about moronic theories, complaints, or just animals that annoy you.

I regret calling Ark's Pteranodon bad now, because of that....
ARK's is lacking teeth, at least.
Not to mention the front legs on that... thing.

That's almost the worst thing I've seen from a Pterosaur. I can't remember the worst. Probably for the best

Why can't megaraptorans just decide fully where they belong? First they're carnosaurs, then they're tyrannosaurs, then they're just in Avetheropoda, then they're in Coelurosauria. MAKE YOUR RUDDY MIND UP MEGARAPTORA

Where were you in 2014?

They sealed the deal as basal tyrannosauroids.

And I personally followed it up with the only reasonable skeletal composite of a megaraptoran on the whole internet.

WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW!?

I was at MCM Glasgow meeting Andrew-Lee Potts of the hit ITV drama Primeval

And I did see that but thought it to be yet another taxonomy theory.

Well no, we have a long, low snouted skull for it, which was how we were able to make the case for it being a tyrannosauroid.

But anyway, things that annoy me...

The 2014 Argentinian Titanosaur that recently had a whole god damn documentary featuring David Attenborough still doesn't have a ****ing name!

They made a TV special about a dinosaur that they won't even give a god damn name!

The palaeontologists are lazy then
I'd wager they were given a nice paycheck for exclusive rights to the story. It might even be that they partially or fully funded the dig itself!

Call them sellouts but I can't blame them; professional paleontologists are incredibly underpaid.
