they probably used their claws for something else. who knows, scratching, climbing ...
primaries would actually help balancing the predator after it leaped on a prey.

Why the big claws of they were used for scratching? Primaries would have made them almost unusable.

Also, creationist attacks on sinosauropteryx annoy me.

Primaries wouldn't cause any troubles with using the claws. No more than modern owls have with feathered feet. Unless you want them to open the doors.

While this was delivered in humorous manner, it's actually quite an annoying rule. Even the new 'WWD' 3D movie has some of their maniraptors lacking proper arm feathering (and its' 'bird' wings look like a second manus attached to the wrist at first glance).
Man, that made me laugh for so long it really surprised me, that comic's creator must win a prize! xD
By the way, about the Dinosauroid, well thanks for having scared the s@#t of 5-year old me, I was very afraid of Gray Aliens at the time, and when I saw that I stopped watching the VCR which had it on for like, years. And unhappily the same VCR had the Giant Croc and Saber Toothed Cat episodes of Paleo World, so my knowledge on those two stayed still rather than growing like it should've... I think that the only reason I'm not traumatized of Troodons today is Planet Dinosaur's trhee Trooodons, which were in my favorite series and were one of my favorite "characters" of the series at the time...

Never thought of that, thanks for correcting me.

In any case, I think they look better with primaries.

I'd just like to apologize for offending a lot of people on this topic. It certainly was not my intention, but I guess I brought it upon my self. This isn't the relationship I would like with anyone on this site. As I said earlier. I'm still exploring the realness (if that's even a word) and the fakeness of evolution. Thanks guys.

Well I think that there is a diference between T.rex and T-Rex, T. rex is the shortening of Tyrannosaurus rex, while T-Rex is a nickname which was invented later for the nmme to be easier to say, so I think that T-Rex isn't a problem, but T-rex surely is (Depnding on the context)

Bald maniraptorans in general are just...EWWW!!! The worst are bald oviraptorosaurs, there can't possibly be any dinosaur that looks uglier with scales than an Oviraptor.

But...Epidexipteryx has never been depicted with scales as to my knowledge. Whereas scaly Oviraptor reconstructions gave me eye sores throughout half my childhood!

That's why maniraptorans used their toe claws. Primaries can clearly be seen on the fossils of Microraptor, Sinornithosaurus, Caudipteryx, and a number of other small maniraptorans.
Both Microraptor & Sinornithosaurus were most likely tree gliders, & Caudipteryx was not a predator that hunted with it's claws. Why would they have such claws on their fingers of they didn't even use them? I highly doubt that most dromaeosaurids had primaries.
I could agree with you, except for the fact that we're not sure about whether or not Dromaeosaurs hunted in packs. Ergo, it's entirely possible that Dromaeosars had primaries.
