Well, I think it's impressive that they even know what a Siamotyrannus is at all! Most people in southwestern Canada haven't heard of Albertosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus, Edmontosaurus, or Chirostenotes: despite the fact that all these dinosaurs are lying right beneath their feet!

Pull my finger!

Many don't even know what a Quetzalcoatlus, Hipparion, or even a Mastodon is!

I wish I had interesting fossils near me. My state only has plants really, but a neighboring state has a trackway of some Ornithopod I forget.

You've gotta be kidding! Even my friends have heard of Quetzalcoatlus and Mastodon. Though to them Quetzalcoatlus is just "Pterodactyl but bigger" and Mastodon is "another name for Mammoth".

In here we only have Mixosaurus as a Mesozoic creature. Others are mostly ancient humans, which I have less interest at (though it's quite popular for the apes xD ).

Many people here know them that because Siamotyrannus and other Thai dinosaurs were published greatly when they were discovered.

Where's Mr Pig?

I have dwarf Terror Birds and crocodiles in a town called Itaboraí really near my city, Niterói. I feel quite happy about it because htey were from the Paleocene, right after K.T, and I lurv the Paleocene
But since there were no Ice Caps at the time and the Sea Level was higher back then I'd probably be writing this under the sea right now... xD
But some other Brazilian States (Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, Maranhão and Ceará) have got some realy neat fossils, such as Staurikosaurus, Armadilosuchus, Oxalaia and Tupandactylus respectively. Not to count Piauí which has got Prionosuchus (Biggest Amphibian ever) and lots of Cave Paintings

Oh that's really interesting Mr. Prehistoric Man! A drawing of a woman giving birth! Really interesting... xD

Sorry about the double post, but another thing that annoys me very much is how often Tyrannosaurus is depicted as some kind of monstrous demon that exists only to kill every other dinosaur. Yes, T. rex must've surely been a very nasty animal, but it wasn't a bloodthirsty monster!

Here are some of the best paleontology stories, that are so wrong they are funny.

Cell biologist decides dinos lived in the water.
http://blogs.smithsonianmag.com/dinosaur/2012/04/paleontologists-sink-aquatic-dinosaur-nonsense/

Jurassic Vampire (now we only the identity of the cupacabara!)
http://io9.com/5887411/was-there-really-a-vampire-dinosaur

Super Smart race of anceint cephalopods, dabble in the visual arts
http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2011/10/the-giant-prehistoric-squid-that-ate-common-sense/

The two above would make a good movie

And finally, what happens when creationists and ufologists walk into a bar.
