Yes. The second movie was nice of JP the first one not so.
The books were indeed much better IMO

It's even worse than that, as lions and tigers are both species within the same genus. It's more like calling a wolf a fennec fox.

back then they didn't have the same knowledge we have today, an grouping several dinosaurs into a single genus has happened several times (Megalosaurus, iguanodon, Pelorosaurus ...)
