There is this cracked article (Link here: http://www.cracked.com/quick-fixes/5-bizarre-dinosaurs-you-didnt-know-existed/) That was about bizarre dinosaurs, and Cracked being a comedy website, didn't take it seriously in the slightest. And it was bad. It sarted off good, with jokes like "You know how everyone makes fun of T. rex for it's stupid little arms? Well, [alvarezsaurid named Linhenykus] is the dinosaur that T. rex made fun of for having stupid tiny arms", but then it just devolved into "This dinosaur was so ugly that it drove itself to extinction by being unable to breed due to how ugly it was" bieng repeated over and over, so instead of using good jokes, like for instance talking about Ouranosaurus and Spinosaurus' similarities and saying something like "So one decided to turn into a giant flesh-eating crocodile on two legs, and the other decided to turn into a hump-backed duckbilled goofball." or "[Tsintaosaurus was often mistaken for a Unicorn by the dino cryptozoologists when it was alive.", they decided to go with lazy hack jokes. Yeah, I know the fact that the article is about dinosaurs is a weak reason for this to be here, but if you're gonna make jokes about how bizarre dinosaurs can be, do it right, instead of just going "Hurr hurr this dinosaur is ugly" over and over. |

People who constantly claim the Pack hunting dromaeosaurs from various media an "Inaccuracy". Now, I'm going to use good judgement and not name names, But I will say this bothers me. I mean, so yeah, Raptors hunting in organized packs in a way that almost directly mimics wolves is bogus, but what about say, a few sibling raptors ganging up on and injured or sick dinosaur roughly their size, or a couple of random individuals beating up a weak dinosaur and fighting over the carcass, is something like that really that out there for you guys? I'm genuinely curious, because to me it seems perfectly reasonable to assume something like that. |

You can point fingers without pointing them. As long as it's stated as specualtive, but possible behaviour it's all fine and dandy. Problems start when it's stated as proven fact and becomes one of the no-brainer tropes of dinosaur paleoart/documentaries. Then it's just sad. |

I see your point, and I wholeheartedly agree. I just think that speculative pack hunting behavior should not be treated as an automatic innaccuracy just because outdated shows treated them as fact. |

The continued war against feathered dinosaurs that is unfortunately still scattered throughout various regions of the Internet (really it extends to all depictions of dinosaurs as realistic and convincing animals rather than rampaging kaiju-like monsters, which many butthurt morons would still rather believe these creatures were). Just...cut...it...OUT!!! It has gone on long enough by now! The dinosaurs you knew as children are all but dead! F**KING DEAL WITH IT!!!!! |

Feathers are fine for birds because they're animals, but since dinosaurs are evil badass lizard gods they obviously need to be scaly from head to toe.

Brian Ford. It had already been established beyond doubt long before he proposed his bulls**t hypothesis that dinosaurs were terrestrial animals, as evidenced by countless studies of their biomechanics and anatomy. But he just ignored all of this, and simply whined about how dinosaurs look "more convincing in water". That's literally ALL the "evidence" his argument contained. Nothing else at all. It's even s**ttier than that guy who proposed that large azhdarchids were flightless. Henderson I believe. Edited by CyborgIguana, Mar 23 2014, 06:00 PM.

Dubble post. I'm also annoyed by people who think that T. rex's vision was actually based on movement. It's really just illogical to think a predator like T. rex could cope with a vision system that required its prey to move. And also people who confuse paleontologists, archaeologists, anthropologists, and geologists. They're REALLY not that hard to tell apart at all, if you're willing to learn the difference! Whoever takes JP dinosaur depictions as 'scientific' should rethink their life decisions. ._. |
