To continue the trend of theropods not roaring their heads off at us (which would require a larynx or syrinx, which we have no evidence of in dinosaurs, so it's probable they could not roar their heads off at us), here's a picture from All Yesterdays showing precisely that.

Imo I'd stick to the kinds of noises birds and crocodilians can do. Hissing is common in both for example. Growling could be a maybe.

Crocodilians and some ratites can of course make some fairly loud sounds, so roaring isn't totally out of the question.
