Oh god I love Mauricio Anton's stuff so much. All the overall lighting and composition is 100%. It's beautiful. I could look at his art and just observe all the intricate details for hours.
One of the many reasons Mauricio is so good is because he has had the experience of being in the African bush watching animal behaviors for years.

I can see where he gets a lot of the foliage elements from then. Really impressive.

Wait a minute, you mean to tell me he HASN'T been back in time and painted these scenes from direct experience? With how good he is I could've sworn he had. :P

Not sure "eye wings" is the word I'd have used, but I'd say they're clearly feather crests of some kind rather than horns. :P

I find it rather unlikely that Megaraptor actually looked like that IRL (a predator that flamboyant would basically be begging to be seen by its prey IMO), but I assume the point was to make it as exaggerated as possible so I'll give you my praise for it anyway. :P

The feathers in the drawing don't really stick out much further than in this owl, and these guys do fine IRL :P
