That's got to be one of the closest things to what a real-life dromaeosaur would've looked like that anyone has EVER made...this has increased my Saurian hype tenfold (my hype was already pretty intense to begin with as well). |

Another awesome painting by Mark Witton. It's too bad that David Peters pretty much ruined Sharovipteryx for the paleo-community, probably why you don't see many reconstructions of it.

I tought the mid Miocene era Australia in habited by Dromornis and Thylacinus potens was still dominated by tropical and temperate rain forest... Still a gorgeous image ![]() Edit*: Apparently the Alcoota formation showed in the image is already from the Late Miocene and while containing some forests it did suffer from seasonal droughts.
