heh, if I read the title correctly, then I intended this thread to be for favorite dinosaur restorations. favorite does not mean scientifically accurate. I mean, c'mon. Chill out guys.

SELF-DESTRUCT SEQUENCE IN 5-4-3-2... :implode:

*shrug* am I not allowed to prefer a featherless restoration?

I can clearly see the shoulder blade on the first Nasutu pic. So it's not exactly beefed up either.
ahem. I'm pretty sure a lion's shoulder blades are clearly visible, but you don't see anyone complaining about that ;)

and besides, some Paleotology is mostly up to speculation, anyway. we'll never see a Tyrannosaurus in the flesh, nor will be ever see a Nasutosaurus running around. also, I'd like to point out that the skeleton of a Beluga looks like this:

First image that came to my mind.

Yes, you're allowed, but considering number of feathernazis here, including me, it's on your own risk.

Can do, didn't think it mattered in my own thread, though.
Of course it matters xD Even if you are the starter of a topic the forum rules applies to everyone. Nothing very important though, but try to do it next time ;)

Of course you're allowed to prefer it, it just isn't accurate since most, if not all coelurosaurs are believed to have been feathered.
yeah. I generally do prefer them depicted with feathers, I just happened to fancy that particular piece of artwork.

I actually understand what you are saying. Some drawings are amazing as pieces of arts even if the animals are not accurate. I still love old dinosaurs reconstructions from people like Raul Martin for example. I do prefer feathered theropods and bulky hadrosaurs / ceratopsians, but sometimes a drawings is great just because of how it looks and how it makes you feel despite the inacurancies.

I agree. Heck, I still love to look at the paintings of Charles Knight, despite them being outdated by a good half century at least.

Looks pretty cool. The pattern reminds me a bit of the Primeval Lycaenops.

I've seen this drawing before, but i really hope that wasn't how the spinosaurus look like. I don't mind the hump... but i can't stand that trunk xD
