![]() Scale is a little off if representing averages (Mosa and Dunk are a bit large, Lio and Meg are too small), but I don't think it was trying to be 100% to scale and besides I love the animals themselves. |

wat? I would have said some of the animals were the opposite of what you said if anything, Dunkleosteus terrelli could grow up to 10m long and the one illustrated is nowhere near that size (you say about averages, but D. terrelli is the largest species and I haven't heard of any specimens as small as in the picture), whereas Liopleurodon ferox is about the right size, 6-7m on average and doesn't need to be any bigger (10m specimens have been found of L. ferox, but so have small 5m specimens, so the average is about 7m)Mosasaurus hoffmanni reached 18m in length, whereas Basilosaurus cetoides has quite a wide variation in estimates (anywhere between 14m and 20m I've heard, so an average of 17m) and Megalodon is estimated at 16/18m from what I know (may be wrong on that though) Spoiler: click to toggle Assuming the human represents two metres (probably closer to 1.8m but doesn't matter too much), it's quite clear the drawings weren't to scale, and if anything Liopleurodon was the only one represented close to its actual size xD) |

Lio is roughly 5.6 meters there, a bit of a far cry from ~7 meters. No specimens of any sort of mosasaur indicate anything past a few centimeters above 15 meters when being rather generous, and Dunkleosteus would need to be rather elongated to reach those sizes. |

Megalodon: Accurate. Liopleurodon: Can afford to be a bit larger. That looks more like a 5m specimen when Liopleurodon could get to about 6. Basically it should reach just past the last person in its line. Basilosaurus: Same applies here. It's undersized and should extend to the end of the last person in its line as well. Dunkleosteus: Very much undersized. I wouldn't depict it as 10m. I'd probably make it another human longer. Mosasaurus: VERY UNDERSIZED. We're talking about a 17m species here. Edge of the page, surely. |

Here: http://atrox1.deviantart.com/gallery/ He makes very nice Paleo art, although I think he isn't a big fan of feathered Tyrannosaurs .

![]() And not even because the artist is Mark Witton. THIS is how Dinosaur stories ought to be done. |

(you say about averages, but D. terrelli is the largest species and I haven't heard of any specimens as small as in the picture), whereas Liopleurodon ferox is about the right size, 6-7m on average and doesn't need to be any bigger
(10m specimens have been found of L. ferox, but so have small 5m specimens, so the average is about 7m)
