A piece of toast and a terminator.

I know it's outdated but I always really liked this one-

TBH a reconstruction being "outdated" has nothing to do with its artistic quality. After all, most of our current reconstructions of prehistoric life will probably become outdated sooner or later as science continues its eternal march. Charles R. Knight was an incredible artist who inspired generations of paleo-artists ahead of him, and for that I honestly couldn't give a crap about how accurate his work is nowadays.

No, the lammergeier reconstructions have moved from raptors onto pterosaurs. I hope it doesn't become overused, again.

On the subject of Pterosaurs, Is it just me or does this 1985 model have fuzz on it's neck?

Posted Image

Unless someone can correct me then, as far as I'm aware, at the time (1985) Pycnofibers on Pterosaurs were known, but not widely accepted, yet here we have this model with some kind of fuzz.

And a wall painting of said model, which sadly no longer exists :(

Actually, that picture's a few years old. And it's showing an actual established hypothesis on the behaviour of Dsungaripterus, instead of simple aesthetic appeal. So I don't think it can really be compared.

Holy Cluck, if it was like that i might need to check the abyss again, to be sure, there is still a
0.0000000000000000001 chance of it being alive.

The Marianas Trench Chameleon-Phosphorosaurus is the best cryptid of 2015 for sure.

Very nice depictions, but as usual Raúl Martín is quite conservative when it comes to add soft tissue on it's depictions of prehistoric animals.
