I like Witton's description below this image on his blog,

when pursueing an animal prone to producing gas, don't run directly behind it, especially if you have your mouth is open. Plus watch out for tail swipes.

I don't CARE if the fluff is inaccurate. They're cute. Be quiet.

Considering how varied integument can be across a clade (especially one as diverse and long-lived as Sauropodomorpha), I don't think it's too unreasonable to suggest that some sauropods could've had feathers even if others were scaled.

A good point. Problem is we have extensive scale impressions from a diversity of sauropods, including Flagellicaudatans and Macronarians, indicating they were all completely scaled. Finding a feathered Sauropod would be kind of like finding some kind of bird completely covered in scales.

That said, If we DID find a feathered sauropod, I would be the happiest guy in the world.

I love Duane Nash's stuff. All of it is speculative, all of it has at least a bit of proof, and all of it is at least decent artwork.

(These are a couple of Brontos fighting to the death)

I'll leave the rest for you to find on your own on his blog Antediluvian salad. His blog also has very long winded explanations for these.

As much as I enjoy Nash's blog, I can't say I'm particularly impressed with his artwork. That Bronto one on the bottom is probably the best one of his I've seen yet, and the forelimbs on the topmost sauropod are erupting from its neck.

Rat snake is love... Rat snake is life

I kinda find Nash's art quite disturbing, no matter how good its concept is. And like AJ said, he doesn't seem to actually pay attention to basic anatomical accuration like the placement of limp or skull structure much...

I don't think it's really the best art, but It's interesting for its speculation.

Doug Henderson is one of the best paleo-artists of all time IMO.

I like how the sauropod is made to look puny and vulnerable in comparison to its environment for once.
