I really enjoy artwork involving dinosaurs and post-human collapse. Shame there's only two that I know of that regularly draw them.

Well, at the base of the tail at least several of the vertebrae are small and lack the long vertebral rods that stiffen the distal end, so I wouldn't be surprised if they could. In Pterodactyloids the tail is so reduced it probably wouldn't be a problem either way. Pteranodon's tail vertebrae especially seem to be quite flat, with a rounded articular surface (seen laterally) and was probably quite flexible in the vertical range of motion.
