IMO the quills are just a bit to mammalian looking

Pretty cool, but it needs way more feathers. Plus the Gobi wasn't a desert environment back in the day IIRC.

It's very unlikely that Triceratops had pennaceous feathers, but I agree that looks pretty cool. :P

well from the picture we can't really tell that they are pennaceous, they could be clumps of protofeathers

Yup, those are definitely pennaceous feathers. Triceratops almost certainly looked nothing like that, but artistically it's still pretty awesome.
