Just wondering, but wouldn't the legs need to be more muscular to support its weight ?

Not a critic, just asking.

I guess Spino was a lot more of an aquatic creature that previously though. If he spent most of its time in water i guess muscles won't be that big.

supposedly it all came out on twitter or something, I don't have twitter so IDK

heres a Nat Geo article on it
http://events.nationalgeographic.com/events/exhibits/2014/09/12/spinosaurus-lost-giant-cretaceous/

and supposedly this has been kept under wraps for a while (why I don't know) because this statue from a year ago is supposedly based on these new remains

the body shape is well suited for a primarily aquatic animal

still a cool depiction, despite the shrink wrapped sail and the broken ankles

I still don't like those colors, they look ugly to me. Other than that I guess I was wrong in thinking that Spino could have hunted prey normally but I'm still not willing to put just all of my chips on the theory that it was a strict piscivore.

*cough*hypothesis, that it was a piscivore, using "theory" in scientific context implies the scientific definition of theory ;)

pelicans get along hunting prey outside the water just fine if they have to, as do crocodilians, water monitors, frogs and turtles, but the fact remains they are very awkward on land, and unlikely to manage to catch a large meal when "out of their element" so to speak
