@Marx : We don't know it ;) We happen to have found some scales, that's all. They did belong to Carnotaurus, which means at least a part of it was scaly, but we don't know which part.

The sides of the animal did possess some scales and small scutes, but the legs, tail, top and bottom of the body aswell as the neck, head and arms are still unknown :P

But this extent of feathering on abelisaurids is beyond me.

But this:
W...what? That has to be a joke. It HAS to be! There's no way in the world Triceratops could've looked even REMOTELY like that! No...just...no.

From where did you get that? The tail is actually the largest portion of skin impression we have. There exists some on the flanks, the shoulder girdle, the neck and there was impressions on the face but they were destroyed because they weren't recognized soon enough. As far as skin impressions go, carnotaurus is one of the most complete we have, aside from some hadrosaur mummies, but even they aren't greater by much.

The internet has lied to me. How did it dare.

Thanks for clarification, I didn't really pay much attention to carno's skin so far, and the imprints I saw in one of my old book only showed the side part so I followed that :P

As you can see, I'm a fan of more fleshed out reconstructions. Nature proves us that skeletons and the real deal aren't the same, and this is something that paleo-artists seem to be getting this more and more lately, which I can only be happy about :P

EDIT :

YES MAT I KNOW, the first one isn't fleshed out :P But I like the concept :P

Those reconstructions up above are awesome looking!

Also, about the spines on the ceratopsian, it isn't pure speculation (like I have heard some saying) to put them on certopiasians other than psittacosaurus, as triceratops has been found with quill rigs too.
