I agree. I also like the spoonbill Deinocheirus even if it's outdated, of course like any retrosaur is able to exist so is in the realm of plausibility. ![]() ![]() Don't worry the new Deinocheirus is awesome as well. ![]() (This one only lacks a hump, I meant the one above) |

This has definitely been a great way to find more great art and stunning animal portrayals! I recently found this picture on Deviantart by SBWomack and I must say its one of my new favorites. I love how the Tyrannosaurus was built from the ground up from the skeleton all the way to a non skin-wrapped final appearance. Plus I've been quite a fan of T. rexes depicted with bumpy snouts and eyebrow ridges. As someone who is studying animal musculature, this was quite helpful for a better understanding!![]() P.S. I'm so glad I finally figured out how to have the image actually appear in the post! Edited by SamtheMan, Oct 24 2014, 03:13 AM.

While T. rex was almost certainly feathered rather than scaled, I still have to admit that's a nice depiction.

So we've gone from Deinocheirus being a spoonbill, to Deinocheirus being a pelican marabou stork hybrid. |

Well let's face it, Deinocheirus is just so bizarre that there's more than enough room for speculation as to its exact life appearance and habits.
