I agree.

I also like the spoonbill Deinocheirus even if it's outdated, of course like any retrosaur is able to exist so is in the realm of plausibility.

Don't worry the new Deinocheirus is awesome as well.

So the skull isn't spoonbilled?
I'm lost too.

This has definitely been a great way to find more great art and stunning animal portrayals! I recently found this picture on Deviantart by SBWomack and I must say its one of my new favorites. I love how the Tyrannosaurus was built from the ground up from the skeleton all the way to a non skin-wrapped final appearance. Plus I've been quite a fan of T. rexes depicted with bumpy snouts and eyebrow ridges. As someone who is studying animal musculature, this was quite helpful for a better understanding!

P.S. I'm so glad I finally figured out how to have the image actually appear in the post!

While T. rex was almost certainly feathered rather than scaled, I still have to admit that's a nice depiction. :)

So we've gone from Deinocheirus being a spoonbill, to Deinocheirus being a pelican marabou stork hybrid.

Well let's face it, Deinocheirus is just so bizarre that there's more than enough room for speculation as to its exact life appearance and habits. :P
