Most of Todd Marshall's illustrations were made before shrink-wrapping was recognized to be inaccurate. ;)

Its a dinosaur version of a pearlscale goldfish.
This isn't even extreme by Ankylosaurian standards. Some of them had such extremely widened ribcages and short, stubby legs that they looked like walking coffee tables.

I love Conway's and Witton's art because they rarely ever make the terrain unnaturally flat. Even open spaces that they portray are irregular and don't have artifficial look :D
