Thank you for the set, Azrael!

Furka! Bad! This topic is for discussion of fishkeeping, not fisheating.

I disagree ! - Holy Pike

Here are my corydoras.

This image is quite outdate because I have re-decored their tank just for 3 days.

I don't think the substrate is suitable for them, but they have been there for a nearly month and none lost their barbels yet. (Except one who lost its barbel from the attack of my convict cichlid.)

Thank you for the set, Azrael!

I used to have another 20 gallon, years ago, which was horribly overstocked but I kept a lot of neat species.

I used to also buy little 20 cent comet goldfishes and then raise them in the tank to about 6 inches, at which point they were salable to the local fish store for 8 - 12 dollars.

Great tank Sheather! It's really pretty.

I wish I had more pictures of our old fish to show you (got rid of them all years ago when we moved) but these are the only two pics I can find:

Two angelfish, obviously, and freshwater, although i'm not sure what specie. The gold one was a female, and to be honest i'm a little embarassed showing this since it's all so cheap compared to yours. All fake plants and background. xD

But anyways, it's a 50 gallon tank which we still have at my parents house, which will also be filled with new - live - plants and fish sometime this year. :) We also had two catfish, a handful of glassfish (six I think) some guppies and a couple of long thin silver fish with black pointy fins. I think the word "shark" wsa in their name somewhere but I really don't remember their specie.

Bala shark.

And your angels would be common freshwater angelfish; there are two species in the trade but only one that's been bred into domesticated colorations like that.

Make sure to cycle your tank when you get it to avoid a lot of trouble.

The other specie is Columbian Wild Angelfish or Altum Angelfish, which is a very challenged and difficult to keep, since they need high acidic water and can get quit large too.

However, they are much more elegant and gorgeous compare to the normal one. xD

I was never able to keep angelfish before; but back when I tried, my tanks were pretty overstocked and that's probably why - the nitrate in the water was probably through the roof and it killed them.

These are my old tanks - they've since both been taken down, however, when the plants just got too big (like 2 feet tall and hitting the light), and the roots clogged the filters and it just became too much to clean. They were up for a year though and were absolutely beautiful. Both five gallons, they had between them 5 minnows (4 of which I have still, one of the yellow ones died a few weeks ago), the same nerite snails, and another betta who has since passed.

I really miss these tanks; they were nicer IMO than my current larger one, but they were also a lot more work being so small, and so full of foliage (all living).

I want to have such many live plant in my tank too! The problem is my cichlids will certainly rip them a part! So I can get only Anubias plants.

i don't think i'll be able to look after a tank with living plant, so i'll stick with plastic ones.
that was a very nice setup.
