What a bunch if nice pets you have! Your kitty remind me of a Japanese cartoon which have a kitten with the same colouration as main protagonist. |

Generally they don't have any interactions as my current rats aren't very tame, as they came to me as adults from a neglectful owner and a really bad petshop, so they never learned to trust people very much and don't enjoy handling. But anyway; no. I used to have a few really, really friendly rats who I let out frequently, and the cat not only didn't harm them but licked them and allowed the rats to groom his fur.

Those rats haven't been tamed yet?! Rats are greatest pet rodent when they are completely tame. But, untamed rats, in the other hand, means the super giant scissors from hell that can tear your fingers! Hope you don't get bitten by them! |

Tame is pretty relative. My current group, they're all tame enough and would never bite me. They run to the door for treats and scratches on the head and I can handle them, but they dislike it and try to get away if I do it for very long, and don't like being petted or anything. My favorite rat ever was a big beige male named Oliver who I owned about 3 years ago. I got him as a tiny baby, and he really bonded to me. We were inseparable; he'd go everywhere perched on my shoulder and outdoors would run around in the yard but would come back when called. He made cute little chirping sounds whenever he was happy and loved belly rubs and grooming people's nails and hair. He was the best but he was really sickly from the start due to bad breeding, and after a lifetime receiving monthly antibiotic doses, he died at 1 1/2 years old. ![]() I have been bitten however, by a mother rat with babies; serious, serious pain. They can separate their incisors to create four deep wounds, which is exactly what she did. |

SO! I still have pets. I suppose it's time to show the rest of my menagerie, some more recent additions, my spice finches (Lonchura punctulata), Pepper and Nutmeg. I have absolutely no idea of either's gender yet so they have names that can work either way and which are, while a bit generic, I'd say cute for "spice" finches.![]() ![]() Pepper is in behind and Nutmeg in front. I can tell them apart as Pepper has white markings below his/her eyes and is also much quieter and less flighty than his/her/ companion. I also adopted another young rat a few weeks ago, a black and white female named Scarlet, who's really sweet. I live in a zoo over here.

Since they are "spice" finches, you gave their names after spices ?!
