i've rarely had mice problems here. however this house next to mine has been abandoned since a few years now and it appears some rat had inhabited it, since we found dead young ones in the garden (drowned in bowls after the rain).

we only got pot plants in our "urban garden." xD

And lot of giant snails!!!!! Lucky that they aren't threat to our plants.

That agave is amazing! It should have some incredible, wild name... like Phil or Stan.

For three years I had a cottonwood tree in a pot. It grew from a seed in a pot of begonias and I ended up taking care of it and growing it as a Bonsai. However, he (I named him Steve, so he was male), lived at my grandma's house, and this summer he went so long without water when we didn't visit for a month that... he died. And I buried him. And gave him a tombstone.

True story.

(I have way too much free time).

I don't believe agaves can grow in my climate; I've never seen one. We have yuccas, though.
