Pull my finger!

I keep getting both sources saying that they're good and bad. The people who say they're good say that try save animals. The people who say they are bad say that they want to ban reptiles and birds as pets. Which path should I follow?

It depends, what does HSUS stand for?

The Humane Society of the United States. Their international program is the Humane Society International.

Well, I see nothing wrong with keeping reptiles and birds as pets. Many of them are practically domesticated by now anyway.

They seem to reek of animals-rights & radical far-right animal-advocacy. They also oppose the seal hunt, which is both humane & an important part of the Canadian economy.

Only if there not driven to extinction, and it's done humanely then I'm not opposed to it. It's the same as killing a cow for meat. :/

The Government here sets strict quotas for the hunters. In recent years the hunters ha actually failed to reach anywhere near the quota. Furthermore, veterinarians & animal experts were asked to examine the kill method (hakapik) to determine if it was humane. An overwhelming majority agree that it is.

In 2005 the WWF sent a commission to investigate allegations made against the seal hunt, & determined the seal hunt to be humane & ecologically responsible.

The best way to not get your heart broken, is pretending you don't have one.

I see the HSUS as a scam to draw up your money and spend it on vacation homes.

I at first thought the seal hunt was cruel, but after a little research, it's actually much more humane than one may think. They're killed swiftly, and the only people who kill them improperly are those who have like no skill at all.

Pull my finger!

A quick, swift death by a blade with a club. At a specific spot.

Of course, they'll be those doofuses who will like hook them alive and stuff like that. But those people are probably have no experience at all.

SlenderRex, I suggest you spend your time doing some research, perhaps you will learn a lot more about certain issues and causes.

I've never heard of the Humane Society anywhere in the states being bad but maybe I'm not looking deeply enough into things?
