Why Asian politics & media stars don't educate their fly-bitten omnivorous conspecifics about uselessness of rhino horns? They won't believe 'lies of white men' and continue to destroy wildlife for traditional medicine.
Only 2 animal products from all Eastern medicine have effect - snake venom & deer velvet antlers, both acquired at farms without much abuse.
And bear bile can have a substitute at last, human bile is not much different really.

Pull my finger!

Bear bile doesn't do anything. I'm South Korean, and the bear bile industry makes me extremely upset about our country, though they're trying to get rid of farms in all.

Superstition is dangerous. When education doesn't work, then we are allowed to go to the limits, including poisoning rhino horns.

Btw most ot trophy hunters don't hunt rhino for horns - the horns are just a part of the mount and must be authentic, just like horns or antlers in even-toed ungulates (and also made pest-proof that means un-consumeable).
You have no idea how many pests would desire to munch on your rhino's horn even before it leaves Africa - mildew, dermestid beetles, moths, even rodents!

And it's quite bad that museums replace authentic horns with carved ones, or don't replace at all... antique mounts get damaged...
they could just poison the horns and make big labels for would-be thieves.

If you don't need something that doesn't mean it's not worth having!
Personally I would like to get a whole lion, but one without a bullet hole that mean damaged bones - just freshly-dead or euthanized. It becomes inedible in last case though.
Natives usually can't even skin the animal properly, making many useless cuts which ruin the skin's quality. The stuff they offer to sell is usually quite bad, e.g. boiled skulls with damaged bones and blood & grease stains.
Those who help on safaris undergo special training but still sometimes make mess.

you know that the natives don't skin animals to have a kewl skin to show when they go to the disco, right ? they skin them to survive, and that doesn't require it to be high quality, as they have been doing so for thousands of years.

and Slender, you think eating lion is wrong because you don't come from a culture that think it's normal: i'm pretty sure Hindus (correct me if i'm wrong) would tell youthe same about cows. and i'm sure you think eating a porcupine is bad, but here in Italy many people eat it (although it's illegal). and again, very few italians would eat a carp or wels catfish, while in other european countries they are a delicacy.

Banned for being rude.

Someone tell me the one specific reason we should eat lions, what's the one thing in the world that makes it necessary. >_<

When you starve.
Then you'll develop a taste for lions and begin eating them regularly.
Until all the lions would run away from you in terror :)
Such thing happened with human-eater humans - they found a new meat so tasty that just couldn't resist!
