I have to congratulate you DM  I have literally spent the whole day playing with them and I can't believe the work you put into this. I mean I made a forest and like a bird watcher I had to actually look for them while they sung their song . It feels great also to see the amount of detail put into the model and the animations! I know the perching behaviour is amazing, the jay doesn't just fly into the tree and perch there, like the peafowl and other perching bird made before the release of these new animations, but it also calls when perching. However, has anyone got the jay to breed? or am I the only one where breeding doesn't occur or does the jay take awhile before it breeds? |

It is said to breed, I only tested it without a qualifier for the mating and then it reproduced fine. Now the Mating call that initiates the mating procedure has a qualifier, which is not quite as strong as in the original birds. Try keeping them in small exhibits coz it requires some interaction, and does not work well when the birds are far away from each other.

On e question, though i am not a designer, I wonder how much tweaking would existing Secretary bird based models need to use these animations |
