We know it had colour bands on its tail, but AFAIK we don't know its actual colours at the current time.

Is Purgatorious still a proto-primate? Apparently it's been suggested that it is a basal eutherian.
Also is Protungulatum a basal eutherian or a close relative of cetartiodactyls?

this is going to sound really odd, but which would be better taking on this hybrid

kaprosuchus(prior to its size change to 3 meters) or megalania?

I AM THE UNSHRINKWRAPPER!

A rabid Volaticotherium would be the most efficient method, really. That thing doesn't look like it would be able to breathe properly, let alone hold its own in a fight. (Where are its nostrils, anyway?)

Also, the picture alone does nothing to convey the creatures' size or prowess, even ignoring the anatomical problems. For all we know it could be six inches long, totally blind, and eating exclusively seaweed- contrariwise it could be the size of Godzilla with lasers for eyes and a taste for a certain species of highly social, cosmopolitan hominid.

I'm still going with the rabid Volaticotherium. But of the two you mentioned, Varanus would be the better choice because slower metabolism probably means the venom wouldn't spread as fast.

But still, where are its nostrils? How does it breathe?

i believe that the nostrils are the same postion on a deinonychus head since this is a hybrid of deinonychus, dire wolf, and lionfish

I'm sorry but wtf? What does this even have to do with paleontology?

im asking because if you all know about my character who can shape-shift into various prehistoric animals, he fights this hybrid; my question is, which form is better to combat this: kaprosuchus or megalania?

Let's say a new dinosaur was found in...The Cedar mountain formation or atleast that general area but the animal is either older or younger then the current formation. Would this extend the date of the formation, or would a newer formation be named?

I'm not slow! That's just my moe!

It probably did but Planet Dinosaur reconstructed the gums very strangely. These teeth were designed for preening, so it stands to reason they wouldn't be lost in larger animals.

Both are basal eutherians outside of the Placentalia crown group
