the main reason why i asked is because those creatures are going to be part of an arc that revolves around my character's wife fighting them inside his mind in order to wake him up from a nightmare

Yes.

That and apparently in religious contexts, the symbol is ACTUALLY a goat, so it's similar in that regard too.

I guess Pteranodon is lust for the same first reason and also because it's always kidnapping scantily-clad blonde women in old B-movies. :P

not to mention because of the 2/1 ration between females and males, males probably had harems.

They seem to have had breeding behaviour much like modern pinnipeds, weirdly.

Looking on Wikipedia is says sometime in the Early Cretaceous, doesn't say when in the Early Cretaceous though.

Or Capercaillie, the best males seem to attract the attention of more females than they can deal with.

What parts of the body were sampled in order to determine the iridescent black plumage of Microraptor?

The numbered locations all represent the 1x1 mm areas sampled for fossil melanosomes, with the results in this table:

could it be possible that Ceratopsians that were the size, behavior and ecological role of Chipmunks have existed?

I'm not sure they were that small but I don't think it's out of the question that some small species may have lived in burrows perhaps not dug by themselves maybe living in them after being dug by like mammals or other reptiles similar to some mammals do today, but I for one like to think that some small dinosaurs did find refuge underground but really it'll depend on when we get the fossils to prove this or not.

As for a tree climbing aspect I think (Don't quote me on this) this was a trait only exclusive to the non avian theropods seeing as how they had the proper tools for this form of Ascension

EDIT: so I did a little research and atleast a few dinosaurs did live in burrows. As for small ceratopsians that's still a matter of debate

Probably the Oligocene or Miocene.

Though it depends more on location I suppose.
