ok at the risk of getting a warning, what kind of forest did the yixian formation have? was it boreal, temperate, sub-tropical, tropical? |

Off the top of my head, I'd say it was temperate. I seem to recall the average annual temperature was about 10 degree Celsius, so it might have gotten pretty chilly in the winter- you'd be seeing ice and snow, but not quite on the level of true boreal forests. |
